Drvenik Veli
Drvenik Veli (Great Drvenik) is a small island to the northwest of Šolta and to the east of Drvenik Mali, 1.8 kilometres (1.1 miles) from the mainland. There are many sand and pebble beaches ideal for bathing, especially for small children. Drvenik Veliki, a village of about 150 people, is the main settlement, while the Grabule cove to the west of it is the only place on the island sheltered from all winds. There are also some islets nearby, such as Krknjaš Mali, Krknjaš Veli, Orud, Mačaknar and Malta. Like the adjacent Drvenik Mali, the island is great if you prefer beautiful nature in peace and quiet.
