Stara Novalja
Stara Novalja (Old Novalja) is located on the northwestern coast of Pag, in a long cove sheltered from winds. Due to its position, it offers the best of both worlds: the calm and clean sea (Trinćel is the local Blue Flag beach) and sandy beaches on the one hand, as well as the wider, windy area perfect for scuba-diving, water sports and sailing on the other. An underwater archeological site with more than a hundred amphoras makes Stara Novalja a great place for scuba-divers. There are also cycling, riding and beach volleyball opportunities. The restaurants offer high-quality food – the island of Pag is famous for its excellent lamb, sheep cheese, seafood and red wine. You can visit the nearby town of Novalja for its preserved Roman aqueduct, cultural events, as well as for the world-known party beach Zrće. Stara Novalja is definitely worth visiting because it is a destination to suit all tastes.
